SSL Decryption Exemptions

Course Curriculum

  • Lesson 1: SSL Decryption Exemptions Basics
  • Use the SSL Decryption Exemptions settings to configure domains to exclude from SSL decryption by the Proxy Server.

    Important: If you are using GAFE services, refer to this help article for a current list of SSL exemptions as recommended by Google.

  • Lesson 2: Adding an SSL Decryption Exemption
    • 1. Click Web Filter, then click Proxy Server.
    • 2. On the Proxy Server page, scroll down to SSL Decryption Exemptions.

    • 3. In the SSL Decryption Exemptions grid, click the green “+” icon. This action opens the following page:

    • 4. In the Add SSL Decryption Exemption form, edit the fields as needed.
    • 5. Click Save to apply your changes, or click Cancel to discard your changes and return to the previous page.

    • Domain – Enter a domain to exclude from SSL Decryption.
    • Short Description – Enter a brief description.

     

  • Lesson 3: Editing an SSL Decryption Exemption
    • 1. Click Web Filter, then click Proxy Server.
    • 2. On the Proxy Server page, scroll down to SSL Decryption Exemptions.

    • 3. Click the name to edit the item. This action opens the following page:

    • 4. In the Edit SSL Decryption Exemption form, edit the fields as needed.
    • 5. Click Save to apply your changes, or click Cancel to discard your changes and return to the previous page.

  • Lesson 4: Deleting an SSL Decryption Exemption
    • To delete (permanently remove) an item, mouse over the item you wish to remove, then click the X on the right side of the row. You will be prompted to confirm the action.

    Caution: Items deleted this way are permanently removed, and cannot be recovered.
