Share resource shortcuts on student desktops

Library > Teacher U

You can share online resources with the entire class at once using Shortcuts in Mobile Manager. Shortcuts appear as icons on student devices to easily access websites (and save a ton of time!). Shortcuts can be added in two ways from Launch: Mobile Manager or Campus Library.

propeller_hatPro Tip. Use Campus Library if the resource is normally blocked for students (e.g., YouTube video, Wikipedia article).

Add a Shortcut to a resource using Mobile Manager

From Mobile Manager in Launch, click on the Shortcuts tab.

Click Icon - Add then enter a title/name and paste your resource’s link. You can be succinct and direct with your name–or don your marketing hat and pitch that resource, e.g., Grammar Made Fun.

Add a Shortcut to a resource from Campus Library

Sometimes the resource you want to share is blocked by the school web filter, and your students aren’t able to access it. If you’re using Lightspeed Systems Web Filter, here’s some good news. Any site or video you find in (or add to) the Launch Campus Library has a special link that will allow students access.

Once you are on the details page for a resource, click Push To, select a class, and voila! A Shortcut is pushed through Mobile Manager to all student devices in the class group–and it automatically appears in your teacher view of Shortcuts as well. Enjoy the magic below.
