Prevent students from visiting sites with “unblocked” in the URL, while still allowing Google
Many teachers use sites.google.com to host course websites, therefore the entire sites.google.com domain is accessible according to their organization’s Internet Access Rules. This allows students to visit sites (in the google domain) with “unblocked” in the URL.
The solution to this problem is to add the
*unblocked* wildcard to the Custom Blocked List. This blocks any website that includes “unblocked” in the URL. If you want to prevent students from searching the term “unblocked” then add it to your list of Blocked Search Keywords.
