This page opens when you navigate to Tier Management and select the Root Tier.

The root, or default, tier contains settings and policies to filter and monitor your entire network.

When should I use this?

Tier Management allows you to manage settings by IP or IP range. These IP segments are called Tiers. For most customers, the default configuration, with all IP addresses in your network at the Root tier, will be all you need.

By default, the root tier includes your known private IP address space.

If you have public addresses on the inside of your network, you will need to add them to the root tier.
